About Tim

I'm Tim, Nice to meet you

My Professional Background

35+ years of business experience including building businesses from scratch, sales, customer service, client on-boarding, business development, team building, and leadership. Decades of studying and applying personal development principles from Zig Ziglar, Jim Rohn, Darren Hardy, Dave Ramsey and others.

Why This Is Important

What I bring to the table is real-life, proven personal experience — not some boxed program designed for everyone and built for no one.

Why I built "Go Up From Here"

Have you ever felt like life dealt you a bad hand?

I have. And I'm not talking about a bad week or a rough patch.

I'm talking about real devastation.

Not a sob story — just facts:

  • Started going blind at 17 from a hereditary eye disease
  • Wrong crowd, drugs and alcohol in my early teens
  • Three failed marriages
  • Relationships with my three sons shattered
  • DUIs and legal issues adding up
  • Too much to list

Then Rock Bottom:

  • No job, no income, no way forward
  • Vision failing
  • Driving privileges revoked nationwide
  • Confidence gone
  • Everything felt impossible.

The Turn:

During the feast and famine years of being an entrepreneur, the court-ordered 12 Step programs and rehabs, and the fallout of multiple failed marriages with three disenfranchised sons, I discovered Zig Ziglar, Jim Rohn, Darren Hardy, Dave Ramsey and others. I studied their principles intensely, hoping to piece it together and find a way out.

The Decision:

When the moment of decision arrived, it hit like a ton of bricks, a self-inflicted reality check — call it an epiphany. I realized I didn't want to live like this anymore. I knew I had to do  a realistic and careful self-assessment of where I was and what mattered most to me. First, I had to get my lifestyle under control. From there I could take what I had learned and change what mattered

— if I could find a way to stay committed.

The Insight:

I realized the Personal Development systems I had studied, weren't built for me. They were too generic for what I needed. So I took those proven principles, modified them, and built my own system. It's easier to maintain progress and succeed when you're using a system you've created for your own life. That became My Why and My How. I've successfully rebuilt my life and various parts of it multiple times. More on that later.

The Rebuild:

  • I got and stayed sober (over 15 years now) — mentally and emotionally one of the hardest things I've ever done, but I did it
  • Spent a year and a half navigating court systems across five states to get my driving privileges reinstated
  • Rebuilt relationships with my three sons by acknowledging their pain and focusing on what could be done moving forward: "I can't change history, but what can we do moving forward?"
  • Built businesses — some succeeded, some didn't — but I learned from every iteration

Rock bottom isn't where your story ends.

It's where your next chapter begins.

---

 You're not alone.

Millions of people can relate to having to start over and rebuild their lives from seemingly insurmountable situations.

Handled honestly, this is the most powerful part of what we do,

and why I built Go Up From Here.

Thank you,

Tim
